Citizenship

During the special meeting on Jan 15, the scouts were asked to draw a poster and write a paragraph on Citizenship. This fulfills Communicator 8 & Citizen 7 & Citizenship L2. Here are what they wrote. Spelling has been corrected to protect the innocent :-)

Don't use or buy stuff that is not recyclable! You should buy more recyclable things. Also, you should bring bags to stores that you've used. If you are recycling, you are helping the environment. Last, if you recycle, less energy is used. -- Adam

I can be a good citizen by telling people not to pollute our water. I'll tell people not to drive cars. I'll also tell people to turn off appliances to save electricity. Help people with disabilities. Don't pollute. -- Spencer

I can be a good citizen by recycling. Or do not polluting. Or obeying laws. Or help old ladies. Or no polluting -- Gabe

Do not litter, littering is bad. If you don't litter the water will be cleaner. If you recycle there will be a happy and clean environment. Always recycle. And always recycle and/or turn it into something else, and if you don't you will go jail, jail is bad so don't litter ever. So be a good citizen everyday for a good turn daily every day. -- Ty

I can be a good citizen by recycling. You shouldn't throw your trash in your yard. You can save the earth by recycling. Recycle paper and plastic bottles. Don't throw your plastic bottles in the ocean. -- David

I can be a good citizen by recycling. We can recycle plastic, paper and cans. Instead of throwing away that stuff that can be recycled, recycle it. Play safe. Help people. -- Jacob

Look both ways before crossing. Help old ladies. Always walk on the sidewalk. Always go on the crosswalks. Walk on the signal. -- Tristan

Always do a good turn daily. Doing good is great. Everyone should do something good every day. Doing good is a very Cub Scout like thing. There are very many ways to do good. -- Johnny
